Zeynar Textile’s Sustainability Strategy, "ACT FOR TOMORROW," is based on the principles of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Our approach, which we have embraced, aims to increase the participation of our stakeholders in the process, minimize differences, ensure active involvement in sustainable social, economic, and environmental solutions, and protect our natural resources and cultural heritage.
Water Usage
We ensure the effective and holistic management of water resources to ensure the sustainability of water, one of the most important and limited resources on our planet.
By measuring how much water is consumed from the resources we use, we continuously review our processes to reduce consumption. In new machinery investments, we prefer those that consume less water. Wherever possible, we ensure that the wastewater is returned to the system for reuse.
Waste Reduction and Management
The proper management of our resources ensures that our waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, is separated and sent to recycling facilities and/or licensed waste disposal companies for the purpose of recycling. This ensures the reuse and safe management of the waste.
We provide awareness training to our employees periodically on waste reduction.
Our generated waste is measured periodically according to local and European Union standards, and necessary corrective/preventive actions are taken.
We dispose of our waste in an environmentally friendly manner, in accordance with local and European Union standards.
Chemical Use and Management
As part of our Environmental Sustainability Program, we are implementing proactive chemical management with chemical risk controls, aiming to completely phase out hazardous chemicals in our production and/or manage substitution to reduce hazard levels.
For Zeynar, material selection that is compatible with environmental and human health is prioritized over the cost factor of raw material usage.
We ensure that the chemicals used in our production processes meet sustainability criteria by closely collaborating with our suppliers.
We minimize health and safety risks that may arise during the use, transportation, and storage of chemical substances.
Energy and Carbon Management
As Zeynar Textile, we are aware of the challenge posed by climate change and the need for a transition to a low-carbon environment while meeting increasing global demands, along with the importance of secure and affordable energy use.
We monitor our energy consumption on a daily basis, ensure its reporting, and continuously take steps towards improvement.
In order to reduce our carbon emissions and ensure the energy efficiency of our operations, we use the most modern and technological equipment that supports this.
We are certified with ISO 50001 Energy Management System, which helps organizations manage their energy use more effectively. Through this certification, we continuously work on developing and implementing energy policies, setting targets for energy use, and creating action plans to achieve these goals.
Inventory Management
In the selection of materials such as fabric, yarn, dye, and chemicals, which are among the main inputs of our production process, we pay great attention and design our processes and products in a way that maximizes sustainability.
Our production goals are to efficiently use raw materials and other supplies to produce the same quality product with fewer inputs and waste, ensure the reuse of materials where possible, and use them in a way that minimizes their environmental impact.
In the supply process, our aim is to ensure the best conditions in terms of quality, timing, quantity, and price for the requested materials. These efforts directly impact operational efficiency and the quality of the fabrics we use.
Supplier Management
For us, acting sustainably means ensuring that not only we, but also our suppliers, comply with our standards. Our goal is to ensure that all our strategic suppliers can meet our sustainability requirements in a verifiable manner. Ultimately, only if the foundations of the entire value chain are based on the same principles can we create truly sustainable materials, products, and solutions.
We select and evaluate our suppliers to produce in accordance with local and European standards. We share our sustainability efforts with our suppliers and work to raise their awareness.
